Armed Security Officer (2180)

Sentry Force Security is seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers for a local Housing Authority contract. Selected individuals will provide general security inside residential buildings and conduct occasional exterior foot patrols, once every hour. The pay for this position is $20 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have an active Armed VA DCJS license to be considered.
• Two years previous experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or active duty military is required.
• First Aid and CPR/AED certified
• Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic computer literacy required for report submissions and CCTV monitoring
