Sentry Bank is looking to hire a part-time teller to work at our St. Cloud Downtown Branch.
We are in need of someone who can work both the opening (starting at 7:20am) and closing shifts (until 5: 30pm) Monday-Friday. Saturday mornings, 8am-12pm, 3-4/month. Approximately 20-25 hours/week. *Saturdays shifts are 1.5x pay!
Summary
Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient transaction processing.
Essential Functions
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a professional appearance and relationship towards customers
- Process customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc.
- Process night and mail deposits under dual control
- Balance and maintain a cash drawer on a daily basis
- Balance vault and coin machine at end of day
- Scan and run Branch Capture
- Take order slips for debit cards and checks
- Ensure account numbers, check amounts, cash in/out, and cash totals are accurate
- Identify mistakes when debits and credits do not balance
- Verify customer identification, funds available, signatures, and other information
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded
- Process cash advances, redeem U.S. Savings Bonds
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of bank security policies and procedures
- Keep up to date with bank laws and regulations
- Periodic duties include assist with ATM, answering the phone, and opening and closing the bank
- Work at other Sentry Bank locations if needed
- Follow all bank policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous banking experience a plus!
- Customer service & cash handling experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
- Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
