We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team!
Sentry Alarm, a leading provider of fire life safety and private property protection services for over 54 years, is seeking a motivated and reliable Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our dynamic ever-growing team. We are looking for an individual who possesses basic knowledge of construction and plumbing, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to our valued clients.
Responsibilities:
· Manage materials and equipment efficiently to ensure smooth project execution.
· Identify and communicate potential problems to the Fire Sprinkler Division Manager promptly, demonstrating a proactive approach to resolving issues.
· Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and locations of installations, while also reviewing blueprints for plumbing-related concerns.
· Adhere to OSHA standards and follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures, prioritizing a safe working environment.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and in the assigned work vehicle.
· Fulfill any other duties assigned by the Fire Sprinkler Division Manager.
Required Technical Skills:
· Mechanical inclination and knowledge of basic tools used in fire sprinkler fitting.
· Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic
· Connect pipes using threaded, soldered, grooved, or cemented joints
· Cut, thread and groove pipe
· Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers
· Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and tanks
· Read blueprints and distinguish the route of the installation
· Able to perform physical labor
· Available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings
· Available to work after-hours when assigned to be on-call
· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or as part of a team
Communication Skills:
· Display strong leadership qualities and communicate effectively through both verbal and written channels.
· Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively as a team member.
Qualifications/Experience:
· Certificate of Fitness through the Portland Fire Marshal’s Office
· 5 years’ experience trouble shooting, servicing and installing Fire Sprinkler systems
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Willingness to travel as required.
· Successful completion of an employment background check.
Additional Requirements:
· Ability to work harmoniously with team members and maintain positive relationships.
· Strong organizational skills to ensure efficient project management.
· Physical stamina and ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including carrying and moving equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
· Willingness to work in various environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, as well as confined spaces.
· No aversion to heights.

· Compensation: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour. Depending on experience.
· Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a rotating on-call schedule
