Job Description: Commercial Maintenance Tech/Building Engineer
A commercial property management company is in search of a skilled Maintenance Technician to be responsible for day-to-day general maintenance and operations of multiple commercial properties. BAS- Building Automation a plus.
Schedule: Part Time. Monday through Friday (Flexible schedule 3 to 5 hours daily)
Job duties, knowledge and responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:
- Complete daily preventative maintenance inspections of properties
- Complete assigned Work Orders on a timely basis.
- Troubleshooting Maintenance issues
- State and Local Safety Codes
- Plumbing, Drain clean out including shutoffs – fixture installation and repair
- Furniture installation and repairs
- Electrical knowledge disconnects – panels and breakers
- Fire system- fire panel alerts, and sprinkler system
- HVAC preventative maintenance, filter changeouts, and controls
- Basic roofing knowledge
- Lighting – bulbs, switches, timers, and wiring
- Ceiling tiles, and grids
- Ability to supervise contractors
- Flooring, and flooring type
- Door functions, lock and key assembly and hardware
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Commercial Maintenance in order to Monitor and review contractor work
- Ability to use work order system on a phone and computer, keeping accurate time records.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, walk on rooftops, and work outside regularly
- Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies, which may require Evening and Weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and Driving record must qualify under Company insurance policy.
- Ability to pass background check.
