Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex building electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, code-compliant designs from concept through construction.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design of electrical systems from conceptual planning through construction documentation
- Develop and evaluate electrical solutions using sound engineering judgment and creative problem-solving
- Perform detailed electrical analyses and calculations to support design decisions
- Coordinate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and field teams to maintain design intent throughout construction
- Review and apply applicable local, state, and federal codes and standards
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Support quality control reviews and ensure consistency with internal design standards
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedule and budget expectations
- Participate in construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 5 and up to 8 years of professional experience in building electrical design
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state where the role is based (OH)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with power system analysis software and lighting calculation tools
- Ability to independently manage design efforts with minimal supervision
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadline-driven workloads across multiple projects
- Healthcare, federal, or mission-critical project experience is a plus, but not required.
