Role Description
We are seeking a Houston-based HR Business Partner to support rapid workforce expansion at our growing location. This role will focus on onboarding, HR operations, and manager support while partnering closely with site leadership to ensure scalable people processes.
This role is hands-on and operational. You will lead onboarding efforts, support managers, and help establish consistent HR processes as the team grows. This role partners closely with the leadership team to ensure a positive employee experience, consistent HR practices, and strong organizational alignment during a period of expansion.
This position is well-suited to an HR professional with 5 years of experience who is comfortable operating on-site and contributing in a fast-growing environment.
What You Will Do
Establish Strong HR Foundations
- Provide day-to-day guidance on HR processes and policy interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with federal and Texas employment requirements.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and required documentation, including I-9 compliance.
- Support standardization of HR processes as the Houston team scales.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee interactions.
Partner with Site Leadership
- Participate in local leadership meetings to stay aligned with operational priorities.
- Provide workforce data and administrative insight to support business decisions.
- Build credibility through responsiveness, follow-through, and sound judgment.
Recruitment Coordination
- Post open positions in alignment with approved requisitions.
- Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings as appropriate.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and leadership.
- Prepare and submit recruiting checklists and documentation for approval.
- Facilitate orientation and ensure accurate, timely completion of required documentation.
Performance Management
- Maintain accurate and current job descriptions.
- Coordinate structured 30, 60, and 90 day onboarding check-ins.
- Execute twice yearly performance review cycles.
Culture Building and Employee Morale
- Support initiatives that strengthen team cohesion and workplace culture.
- Assist with engagement activities, recognition programs, and communication efforts.
- Partner with leadership to promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
- Gather employee feedback and share insights to help improve the overall employee experience.
What We Are Looking For
- 5 years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience in high-growth environments preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment regulations.
- Comfortable operating on-site and partnering directly with leadership teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field
- ·SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily on-site presence in the Houston location.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Able to travel to Dallas, San Antonio, and field-level locations to attend on-site meetings and operational walk-throughs as needed.
