Location: Sentara Leigh Hospital - Norfolk, VA Status: Full-time (40 hours per week) Mon-Fri Shift/Hours: 8:15am-5:15pm or 10:45am-7:15pm $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates! The Pharmacy Technician II performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Participates in the training of new employees Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Assumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to pharmacy operations Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
