Sentara is hiring an IT Specialist Ambulatory Pharmacist

Location: Hybrid (Onsite days Located at Sentara Park- Virginia Beach, VA)

Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)

The Pharmacy Specialist, IT serves as a liaison between the pharmacy department and the IT team to ensure the effective implementation, optimization, and support of pharmacy-related technologies. This role involves analyzing pharmacy workflows, configuring systems, providing technical support, and participating in projects that enhance patient safety, medication management, and operational efficiency.

Education

• Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)

• Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)

Experience

• 2 Years of Pharmacist experience in a Hospital or Clinical Setting

• Experience in one of the following areas is required : Technical Expertise in Epic, Developing projects with IT teams, Hospital Protocol Development
