City/State Virginia Beach, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate! Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift Standard Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, M-F No weekends required Position Location: Hybrid work schedule at Sentara Park 1300 in Virginia Beach. After successful completion of onsite training for up to 4 weeks, and depending on performance, the position will have the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week. Insurance Premium Payment Associate Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center. Education High school diploma or equivalent Certification/Licensure No specific certification or licensure requirements Experience 1-year customer service experience REQUIRED Payment and or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English REQUIRED Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred Healthcare environment experience a plus Reliable transportation essential to success in role Sentara Health Plans provides health plan coverage to close to one million members in Virginia.
