Sentara Health, a nationally recognized integrated healthcare system is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and experienced gastroenterologist to serve as a Chief of Gastroenterology. This is a transformational leadership opportunity for a mid-career physician who has experience running a fellowship and operational experience.
Position Highlights:
Lead with Purpose: Provide strategic direction for the growth and innovation of GI services across the Sentara network.
Build the Future: Spearhead the development of a new Gastroenterology Fellowship Program, playing a critical role in the training and mentoring of future GI specialists.
Mentor & Inspire: Serve as a mentor to early-career physicians, nurturing leadership potential and promoting a culture of academic excellence.
Clinical Excellence: Utilize your expertise to elevate patient care and expand service offerings.
Grow Outpatient Care: Lead the expansion and optimization of the outpatient GI division, improving access, efficiency, and patient experience across ambulatory care settings.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work alongside system leadership, academic partners, and multidisciplinary teams to align GI services with Sentara’s mission of improving health every day.
Hepatology preferred but not required. Preferably inpatient and outpatient capacity.
