Suffolk area ASC is interviewing for an OR Nurse Supervisor. Qualified RN's will be responsible for the supervision of the surgical team to include staff RN's, Scrub Techs, Rad Techs, Surgical Assistants. Must be able to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment across Ortho, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ophthalmology, pain management and ENT surgical specialties. Most surgical procedures require general anesthesia or conscious sedation. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, medication management, and clinical staff education. **No call, weekends, nights, or holidays**
Experience and Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Min four (4) years of experience in the OR as a circulating nurse in an acute care hospital or ASC setting
- Min two (2) years of nursing supervision with an emphasis in OR (hospital or ASC), ICU or ER
PREFERRED:
- Four (4) years as an OR nurse supervisor
- Previous OR experience with Orthopedic, OB-GYN, ENT, Pain management out patient procedures
- Previous experience with EMR applications that incorporate the intraoperative process
- Four (4) years of Clinical Supervision in an ASC
- CNOR cert.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current VA Registered Nurse (RN) License
Current ACLS, PALS
