Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital is hiring a SCOP - Armed Recruit - Full Time Rotating schedule
The Special Conservator of the Peace Armed Recruit is a Security Officer role designated for newly hired SCOP Armed Officers while preparing for successful transition to an Armed SCOP role. During the transition period of 120 days, all training and required certifications will be completed to allow them to carry a weapon. The primary function of this transitional role is to further develop the necessary skills, training, and certifications required to function as a fully armed SCOP Officer.
An offer of employment for a Special Conservator of the Peace Armed Recruit is contingent on passing the pre-employment screening process, which includes a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Once the preemployment process is cleared and employment has begun, incumbents will have 120 days to successfully complete and obtain other job specific certifications, as defined in the job profile. Failure to obtain these certifications within the prescribed timeframe will result in termination of employment. Annual fitness assessment required and psychological evaluations are required every 3 years as a condition of continued employment in this position.
