Overview:
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Non Invasive Cardiology department. This is a full time-time day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. No Call, no nights! Ideal candidates will have a background in EKG, Stress Testing, and Telemetry.
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. One Saturday day shift of 4 hours every 3rd week from 8a to noon. Variable shift times, all morning hours for Stress Testing.
Sign on bonus up to $7,500 available for qualified candidates.
About the department:
The noninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RN’s, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient. This role will focus on supervision of stress testing and monitor placement as well as backup for CCTA, MRI, and cardiac PET scans.

Education
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- ACLS required prior to completion of orientation
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- Preferred: 1-2 years Cath/EP Lab, radiology, or cardiac step-down experience will be considered. Ideal candidates will have a background in EKG/Telemetry and Stress Testing.
- Critical care experience in hospital required
- Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments
- intra-procedural patient care/monitoring and moderate sedation
