The manager provides hands-on leadership for Epic Population Health modules, ensures alignment with clinical workflows and regulatory requirements, and leads a team of analysts to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing optimization of Epic Population Health solutions, including Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, Clinical Case Management, registries, reporting tools, and dashboards
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Epic analysts and builders; oversee workload, priorities, and performance
- Partner with clinical leaders, care management, quality, and operational stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into Epic functionality
- Drive adoption and effective use of population health tools to support quality measures, risk stratification, care gaps, and value-based care programs
- Collaborate with other IT and analytics teams (e.g., Cogito, data warehouse, interface teams) to support enterprise reporting and insights
- Maintain Epic best practices, documentation standards, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Support upgrades, new feature rollouts, and Epic enhancement opportunities
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
7 yrs relevant years’ experience without a degree
Certification/Licensure
- Epic Population Health solutions (e.g., Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, Clinical Case Management, EpicCare Link)Certification (Preferred)
- Experience supporting or implementing Epic Population Health solutions (e.g., Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, Clinical Case Management, EpicCare Link)
- Prior experience leading or mentoring IT or Epic analyst teams
- Strong understanding of population health, care management, quality reporting, or value-based care concepts
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with clinical and operational stakeholders
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Epic certification(s) in Healthy Planet or related Epic modules
- Experience with population health analytics, dashboards, and quality measures (HEDIS, CMS, etc.)
- Familiarity with Epic reporting and data structures, including integration with enterprise analytics platforms
