Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center his hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for a Full time, day shift position in Woodbridge, VA!
Open to either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts with Call.
On Call Requirements: Minimum of 8 shifts per month or more depending on staffing needs. 1 full weekend (Friday,Saturday,Sunday) per month or every other weekend as needed.
Department Overview:
The Cath Lab at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is a 50-person team of monitor techs, cardiovascular invasive techs, registered nurses and patient care staff for additional support. The team sees a mix of inpatient and outpatient and an average of 10 procedures per day. Heart and Vascular has 3 labs for EP, Cardiac and IR at SNVMC.
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs a wide variety of neurophysiological diagnostic studies in the laboratory, intra-operatively and in the intensive care settings; operates and performs preventative maintenance on complex monitoring instruments; documents all acquired data for interpretation; ensures tests performed are properly ordered, charged and reported; makes independent assessments that may indicate urgent medical interaction.
Competency in three areas or primary specialty work in the area of epilepsy or evoked potential intra-operative monitoring.

Education:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent required and one year of experience required.
- Associates Degree Electro neurodiagnostic Tech Preferred.
- Registered Electroencephalographic Technician (EEG) Or Registered Electroencephalographic Technician (EEG) Or Registered Electroencephalographic Technician (EEG) Required
- BLS required
- 2 years of experience Required.
- Invasive and Non Invasive Experience preferred
- Cath Lab Experience Preferred
