Overview

Sentara Healthcare’s Information Technology division is seeking a proven leader at the individual contributor level to join the IT Business Relationship Management team.

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) primary focus is ensuring that the business and IT management are aligned; they do this by fostering open communication, shared understanding, and collaborative planning.

Additionally, they engage early and often to understand the business needs, strategy, potential opportunities, and help the business navigate IT when needed. Ensure a comprehensive understanding of IT cost implications associated with project intake, while validating funding availability and approval prior to the initiation of IT work.  BRMs act as a bridge between business and IT, helping reduce issues, remove roadblocks, and keep work moving forward. The BRM drives key relationships and actively partners with Senior Leadership, IT Strategy, IT PPM, Enterprise Architecture, Transformation Office, Finance, and Contracting to support shared ownership, clear decisions, and strong business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will understand health plan business operations. Prior information technology experience—including project management, ServiceNow, and/or core service management fundamentals—is highly desired.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or related field or an equivalent Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• relevant certification (Preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 5- 7 years of relevant work experience in areas of IT, healthcare, or business relationshi pmanagement, process engineering, and/or business analysis or other related experience.
• Health plan experience.
• Master of listening, reframing, influencing, and persuading• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation & leadership skills
• Must be skilled at interacting with IT and business partner senior leadership•
• Must demonstrate ability to build exceptional working relationships with both the business unit and ITto establish a sense of trust, team engagement, and ownership•
• Strategic agility and partnering – can anticipate future business needs and has broad knowledge andperspective of the business unit
• Strong business IQ – has a deep understanding of the business unit operations, operating model, andpriorities.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $128,648.00 - $199,097.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.

Sentara Independence provides quality outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes an ambulance-accessible emergency room that is supported by board-certified physicians. Sentara Independence houses state-of-the-art medical equipment and highly-skilled physicians and staff.  Sentara Independence is now an extension of the quality services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital including advanced imaging and physical therapy.
