Overview

Sentara is hiring a Business Operations Coordinator at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Shift: First Shift (7a-330p or 730a-4p) M-F

Job Description

Supports the daily functions of the operations team. Works closely with department leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to the growth of the business.

Supports the daily functions of the Support Operations Team by partnering closely with department leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational processes, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across all support operations teams. Key areas of responsibility include Emergency Management, Regulatory and Readiness Preparedness, and Physical Environment vendor management. This role helps drive operational efficiency, strengthens organizational resilience, and contributes to overall business growth.

Duties include but not limited to: Scheduling meetings, minutes, publishing schedules, vendor management. Additionally, emergency management duties to include emergency planning and regulatory planning for building and physical environment.

Education

• HSD/GED REQUIRED

• College degree or specialized training strongly preferred

Certification/Licensure

• ICS 100, 200, and 700 Certifications preferred

• CHOP-B or CHEC certification preferred

Experience

• 2 years related experience REQUIRED

• 5 years emergency management and/or regulatory planning experience strongly preferred

• Project management skills strongly preferred
