Overview:

Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Behavioral Health Therapist. This position will be responsible for the provision of social work/counseling services to patients receiving care in the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health setting

Education

Master’s Degree – Social Work, Counseling, or other related field

Certification/Licensure

• Working towards licensure (supervisee or resident in counseling)
  
  
  

Experience

• At least 1 years of outpatient or inpatient experience is desired
  
  
  

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
• Evaluates effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.
