JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Sales Account Manager
LOCATION: Chatsworth, California
REPORT TO: Inside Sales and Customer Service Manager
SHIFT: Day Shift: (7 am to 5:30 pm / Monday- Thursday)
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- This position will manage sales activities and accounts for assigned customers and products. The ideal candidate must be detailed-oriented, organized, motivated to exceed, continuously improve, analytical and proactive. The candidate must also have a strong sense of urgency to provide excellent support to customers and internal stakeholders. Must be able to make good decisions in support of Sales and Sensor Systems, Inc’s best interests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Processing daily purchase orders, including updates to sales/purchase orders in the ERP system accurately and expeditiously. Must meet metrics to be defined by Director.
- Answer customers’ questions and concerns and follow-up and research orders utilizing our ERP system (Epicor) quickly.
- Generate and review reports as directed by the Director of Business Development.
- Support development of metrics and KPIs for Sales and other departments as requested by the Director of Business Development.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers through consistent contact.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders; provide support efficiently and effectively in the time requested.
- Proactively report issues, solve problems, and create improvements within the framework and guidance provided by the Director of Business Development.
- Act as back-up for other Customer Service Representatives as necessary.
- Support other activities as needed by the Director of Business Development.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-5 years of prior sales administrative support, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Aerospace experience preferred.
- Proactive, communicative, dependable, accurate, and organized.
- Prior technical product sales experience.
- Familiarity with aerospace distribution, MRO, and aftermarket support sales models.
- Strong relationship and customer development skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and create a solution within company capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and MSWord.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Sustained, dependable attendance.
- Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.
- Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES
Language Skills:
Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
