TITLE: Regional Sales Manager - West Coast

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
SENSIT is a domestic manufacturer with all products made in Indiana, we're highly aligned to the natural gas industry and have seen revenues grow at a CAGR >17%. Our value discipline is customer service and supporting our end users across safety, compliance and operational decision-making. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) plays a critical role in driving profitable growth, expanding market share, and strengthening SENSIT’s presence in the West Coast through direct customer engagement and channel leadership.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve annual sales targets within assigned territory
- Develop new and existing customers to maximize market share and account penetration
- Expand into adjacent markets with gas detection and environmental emissions monitoring product portfolio
Technical & Product Support
- Provide technical assistance, product application, and user training to customers, distributors and reps in the territory
- Proactively demonstrate new products and features
Channel & Customer Management
- Increase channel effectiveness and coverage through frequent engagement, influence and quarterly evaluations
- Develop and maintain multi-level relationships and positive influences with customers
Forecasting & Planning
- Utilize available tools to improve forecast accuracy and sales funnel visibility
- Effectively utilize company resources to maximize profitability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with customer service to ensure consistent, high-quality account management and customer satisfaction
- Assist engineering and product management with the development of new products and features by sharing market intelligence and supporting field visits and customer demonstrations.
- Work closely with repair services to ensure returns and product performance issues are addressed in a timely manner
Events, Training & Brand Representation
- Plan, organize, manage and execute SENSIT events including tradeshows, industry events, customer visits and other corporate events
- Actively represent brand in trade organizations, conferences, seminars and schools
PERSON SPECIFICATION HIGHLIGHTS:
Qualifications and Functional Experience:
- 3-5 years of technical sales experience in oil and gas or related process industries
- Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business or related studies preferred
- Experience in developing sales strategies, targets, and forecasts
- Technical aptitude required
- Knowledge of and residence in the geographic region
- Valid Driver’s license
- Extensive travel required by air and ground (50% or more)
IT and System Knowledge:
- Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications
- Experience using CRM or Opportunity Tracking software
- General ability to easily achieve competency in the use of business and product-related software and apps
