What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

· Finish baked goods including slicing, decorating, and applying finishing touches (décor, toppings, garnishes)

· Prepare and decorate cupcakes, bundt cakes, and specialty items for retail and custom orders

· Pack finished products into appropriate containers, boxes, and packaging materials

· Label all packaged items with product name, date, ingredients, and allergen information

· Operate during the Packing & Prep shift (3 PM–10 PM), often extending into evening hours as needed

· Monitor product quality, temperature, and freshness throughout the packing process

· Maintain meticulous food safety and allergen handling protocols

· Organize and manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies

· Communicate with wholesale and retail teams regarding order fulfillment and deadlines

· Assist with cleaning and sanitization of packing and prep areas

· Support documentation and compliance logging for wholesale orders

Equipment You'll Operate

• 80-quart floor mixer
• Double commercial convection oven
• Standard single convection oven
• Standard commercial baking tools and small wares

Schedule

• 6 hour days
• Saturdays off
• Mondays off
• Schedule and production needs may shift seasonally

Requirements

• Hands-on baking experience — professional or high-volume preferred
• Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs and handle heavy commercial equipment (including moving 80-quart mixing bowls from sink to mixer)
• Strong communication and reliability
• Adaptability — schedule and production needs may shift seasonally
• Food Protection Certificate is a plus; if you don't have one, we'll help you obtain it

You must already be able to read and execute recipes at production scale, scale ingredients, scoop, portion, pipe, sheet, and pan up, operate commercial ovens and mixers, and maintain pace through a full production day. Our training is brief and focused on our bakery's specific recipes, workflow, and standards. We are not training basics like recipe execution or cookie scooping. If you need to be taught those, this role is not for you.
