What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Account Manager position at Sensenig Turkey Farm?
Activate Your Influence is a third party hiring solution partnering with Sensenig Turkey Farm.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Sensenig Turkey Farm has built a highly successful business by developing long-term customer relationships and consistently delivering quality products. Nearly all of that business is recurring. The next Sales & Account Manager will play a critical role in protecting those relationships while strategically expanding them.
This role is not about chasing every opportunity. It's about identifying the right opportunities, increasing wallet share with existing customers, adding profitable new accounts, and serving as the bridge between customers and operations.
ABOUT SENSENIG TURKEY FARM
Sensenig Turkey Farm is a respected, family-owned agricultural business rooted in integrity, stewardship, and operational excellence. The company produces premium turkey products and serves customers across retail, foodservice, food manufacturing, and farmers markets. Decisions are made with a long-term perspective, and relationships matter as much as results.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This position combines strategic sales, account management, and operational coordination. You'll inherit approximately 100 customer relationships and will be responsible for protecting those accounts while pursuing carefully selected, higher-margin opportunities. Success depends on your ability to collaborate with production, shipping, quality control, and leadership to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Someone who prefers high-volume transactional selling, dislikes operational detail, wants to simply close deals and move on, or is uncomfortable in a hands-on agricultural environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The office is located on a working turkey farm. This role regularly interacts with production, shipping, and quality teams and occasionally enters production areas. Biosecurity protocols are strictly enforced.

- Competitive salary and bonus opportunity.
- Collaborative leadership team committed to doing business the right way.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of sales experience within a larger team structure — someone used to working within organized departments where finance and operations help set goals, not a lone-ranger seller.

Note: We hold these requirements loosely — the right person may not check every box. If you believe you’re a strong fit for this role, we encourage you to apply.
Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions
The Sales Manager will divide time between office work, customer visits, farmers markets, and the production facility. This role requires regular travel to customer locations using their own vehicle, extended periods of driving, and occasional presence in active production areas that may be cold, wet, and noisy.
When in production areas, PPE will be required. The role may involve lifting product samples and marketing materials up to 40 lbs, standing for extended periods at markets or customer events, and maintaining a professional presence through long customer-facing days.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit a resume or work history summary outlining relevant sales experience, food industry background, marketing capabilities, and any bilingual skills.
