Job Description: Senseeker is looking for an Electronics Assembly Technician to join our team. This position will be
responsible for assembling circuit boards and electrical systems from work instructions, schematics, or materials
lists. The employee in this position should feel comfortable working with electrical components, circuit boards, cable
harnesses and wiring. Duties will include understanding electrical and mechanical drawings, updating
documentation, and performing simple electrical testing. The Electronics Assembly Technician is expected to
maintain Quality Management System (QMS) procedures on assembly processes and should be comfortable
following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as helping to improve those procedures. Flexible work
schedules/ work shifts are available.
Work Experience: 3 – 30 years
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education: Associates Degree (A.A.) in electronics from a two-year college or technical school
Required Attributes:
- US person status required for this position, pursuant to the terms of government contracts with
- Experience soldering surface mount and through-hole components to circuit boards
- Proficient in the use and maintenance of various electronics assembly and rework tools, such as soldering
- Familiarity using a microscope for small component assembly procedures
- Must be able to follow QMS SOPs and advise management of required or desired changes to
- Dependable with good time management and self-motivation to get tasks accomplished
- Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work tightly with a small team
- Ability to change workflow mid-stream and switch back and forth between different tasks
- Proficient with inventory control and maintenance
Desired Attributes:
- Able to read electrical schematics and assist with development of documentation and build instructions
- Able to read mechanical drawings and assist with mechanical assembly
- Experience soldering medium sized components and wiring required for power supplies
- Experience fabricating cables and wiring harnesses (including prototypes)
- J-STD-001 Certification
Job Type and Location: Full-time, onsite in Santa Barbara, CA, USA
Base Compensation Range: $23-$33 per hour - set with experience, education and qualifications.
