Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely while applying sanitation procedures to ensure hygienic environments.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing surfaces, and disposing of waste in accordance with sanitation standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep to uphold facility appearance.
- Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling safety procedures and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests and ensuring client satisfaction with the cleanliness of the premises.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential for safe operations.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or residential painting adds value.
