Our combined 407,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities across the United States house over 88 grand and large format digital printers, custom automated finishing equipment, and coating capabilities to produce printed recyclable materials up to 16 ft wide. Our pre-press department processes more than 40,000 files per day with the aid of proprietary software automation tools. We operate around-the-clock, 7 days a week to deliver extraordinary customer service, and print over 431 million square feet of material annually. Job Description Overview:
Print Operator II
Operates printing presses (and printers) and/or bindery (and other post-press) equipment under direct supervision. Evaluates and inspects print samples during print runs to identify necessary adjustments. Reviews print job orders to meet quality standards. May require some related computer tasks. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. Typically requires a high school diploma, and 0 to 2 years of experience. Also performs basic operation of press and printing equipment utilizing associated software. Examples of equipment and software include 5M Flora Printers, 5M Vutek 5330 Printers, 5M Matan Printers, 3.2M LxR LED/UV Printers, True Press UV Printers, and Caldera RIP software.
Print Operator II - Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- At the direction of the Lead(s), Supervisor or Production Manager(s); complete all duties as assigned
- Maintain focus on safety, ensuring self and other team members are following safety policies and adhering to PPE standards
- Must be able to perform at high level in all Print Operator functions when asked by Management
- Ensure all products are being produced to a high level of quality
- Work at a pace consistent with any established throughput rates and/or cycle times
- Remain engaged at all times, either performing duties to complete orders or maintaining housekeeping/5S
- Communicate all concerns, issues or observations related to safety, quality or continuous improvement to lead(s), Supervisor or manager(s)
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and/or best practices
- Appropriately manage timecard and schedule
- Maintain a high level of teamwork and be willing and able to share knowledge with (train) others
- Able to perform 1st level of maintenance on equipment in finishing area.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of production equipment
- Work with leads and maintenance technicians on appropriate repairs of all equipment
- Work with leads to ensure basic maintenance and cleanliness of all production equipment
- Communicate machine downtime to leads and assist with the repair as needed
- Identify and communicate potential process improvements – assist Production Manager(s), Supervisor and Lead(s) on all improvement initiatives
- Identify cost savings opportunities (labor and yield) – assist Production Manager(s), Supervisor and Lead(s) on all cost savings initiatives.
- Commitment to good communication between employees across all shifts to ensure process changes and improvements are implemented consistently and effectively
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- Work directly with the Production Manager(s), Supervisor or Lead(s) on special projects as needed.
- High School diploma, G.E.D or equivalent work experience
- Preferred general production experience
- Ability to perform physical work for up to 12-hour shifts
- Willing to work on a rotating shift, for long hours and overtime as necessary
- Willing to learn and put in their best efforts for production

- Able to lift and carry up to 49 lbs. unassisted and 50 lbs with an assist
