Job Title: Sr. Regulatory Specialist

Department: Quality

Reports to: Sr. Director of QA and Food Safety

Salary: DOE

Status: DOE

Schedule: Full Time (40 hours or more per week)

Shift: Office (8:30AM – 5:00PM), or Remote

Location: SLC or Lehi


JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees creation of raw material specifications. Manages and maintains regulatory records.  Reviews raw material qualifications to ensure they meet all regulatory requirements.  Reviews and request supplier regulatory documentation.


MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.     Assist in maintaining compliance to 3rd party certifications and programs including Organic, Kosher, Halal, and Non-GMO.

2.     Request raw material regulatory documentation from vendors and generate item codes in Sensapure product development software

3.     Ensure regulatory documents are accurate

4.     Review and maintain raw material qualifications

5.     Generate raw material specifications

6.     Maintain material qualification and regulatory SOPs

7.     Assist in providing customers with raw material regulatory documentation

8.     Participate in Quality project management

9.     Other duties and functions may be assigned.


EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in science or related field is required


WORK EXPERIENCE:

At least 4 years of experience in related field required.

Intermediate/Advanced mathematical skills: Able to apply complex mathematical concepts.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position frequently works in an office environment.  Seldom exposure to allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans as well as working near moving mechanical parts or powered industrial trucks, fumes, and dust or other airborne particles.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires frequent sitting.  There will be seldom use of hands, talking, hearing/listening, standing, walking, bending/stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
