Student Support Coordinator
Job Title: Student Support Coordinator
Status: Full-Time, In-Person
Schedule: 35 hours per week (some evenings and weekends required)
Compensation: $30.22 – $35.72 hourly
Location: Jamaica, Queens, NY (Multiple Sites)
About Queens Community House (QCH)
What You’ll Do
- Maintain an active caseload and provide individual and group counseling sessions.
- Support students’ social-emotional development and behavioral growth.
- Coach and guide after-school staff by modeling effective youth engagement and management strategies.
- Enhance program quality by implementing SEL curriculum and contributing to staff training.
- Connect youth and families to community-based services and external providers.
- Lead family engagement events such as literacy nights, workshops, and parenting sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with QCH and funder requirements.
- Participate in evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Mental Health Counseling, or related field required (Licensure and SIFI preferred).
- BSW with 3 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with youth and families in case management, behavioral support, and family engagement.
- Bilingual in Spanish is required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of youth development and family engagement models.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Comfort with data collection and using data to inform practice.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
