About the RoleThe Assistant General Manager serves as a key member of the management team and works closely with the General Manager and Director of Operations to oversee daily restaurant operations. This position is ideal for an experienced restaurant leader looking to take the next step toward a General Manager role.
Responsibilities- Lead daily front-of-house operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Coach, develop, and inspire service staff to maintain the highest hospitality standards.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Manage labor and staffing levels to support operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service periods.
- Address guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally and proactively.
- Support inventory controls, ordering, and operational systems.
- Collaborate with culinary and events teams to execute seamless guest experiences.
- Drive accountability, communication, and teamwork across all departments.
- 2 years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for hospitality and team development.
- Wine and beverage knowledge preferred.
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as Toast, 7Shifts, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
