What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter/Cashier- Mount Sinai position at Senor Taco Mexican Grill & Bar?
Senor Taco Mexican Grill is looking to hire a friendly, dependable, and hard working cashier for Full-Time or Part-time availability at our Mount Sinai location. Great team environment and atmosphere. We will provide training.
You will be the face representing our restaurant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greeting incoming customers with a friendly attitude upon arrival and leaving the premises.
- Collecting payments whether cash, debit card or credit card.
- Taking care of all transactions with the use of the cash register.
- Answer restaurant phone and taking food orders over the phone.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager such as: clearing/wiping down counters, tables and surface areas in the restaurant as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer service and cash handling
- Proficient in operating POS systems, including Aloha and Micros
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and upselling skills
- Background in food service or quick service restaurant settings
- Be over 18 (Requirement)
- Basic math skills for accurate cash register operations
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 per hour
