What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager position at senneca?
The ideal candidate will have professional EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Professional training, education, and/or certification is ideal. The ideal candidate will also have experience with OSHA regulations and ISO 14001 as it relates to manufacturing, strong project management, process planning.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for all EHS Programs for
all personnel at the manufacturing facility and in the field. This position
will have the support of the Business Unit General Manager to lead significant
improvement in our EHS culture and results.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Lead
safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation
and ongoing training sessions.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence with area leaders. - Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety audits.
- Support Workers Compensation, incident, and injury management
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the execution of Continuous Improvement (CI) strategies using Lean (5S) and Six Sigma methods.
- Reduce our environmental impact
- Potential to support Safety improvement at other Senneca facilities
- Other duties as assigned
