Overview
We are searching for an experienced Production Personnel at our Redmond, Oregon facility.
Responsibilities
- Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
- Sets up and operates variety of machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and assemble doors by performing the following duties.
- Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels.
- Glues, fits, and clamps parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete unit.
- Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints.
- Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing.
- Installs hardware such as hinges.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
- Track production on schedule boards.
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production for which they have been trained.
- Must be able to lift and carry 30-80 lbs on a regular basis throughout the workday.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
- Understand how errors in production, paperwork, etc. can impact the bottom line.
- Work closely with other production personnel promoting a “can-do” attitude.
- Work overtime as required when necessary.
- Be a team player; maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all other employees.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
- Know/learn all products and nomenclature.
- Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
- Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed.
- May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- May be required to lift and move larger heavier items appropriately, reach above shoulder heights, below the waist, bend stretch as needed to work on the machinery.
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas
- Will require use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
- Environmental conditions may alter to excessive heat and possible colder temperatures during season changes in the manufacturing area.
