Job Overview
Seniors Helping Seniors is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals for the Part-Time Caregiver Position. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to seniors in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while fostering a supportive environment.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care and support, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with medication administration.
• Engage in meal preparation and cooking to ensure nutritional needs are met.
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and tidy living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social interaction and mental well-being.
• Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Observe and document changes in client behavior or health status, reporting any concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support clients with memory care activities for those experiencing Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience or skills in the following areas:

• First aid and CPR certification
• Group home or nursing home experience
• Patient observation and monitoring
• Home & community care experience
• Assisted living and long-term care experience
• Working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
• Knowledge of dementia care practices
• Direct support experience in caregiving settings
• Familiarity with patient care protocols including vital signs monitoring
