Project Name: Daily Bread
Position Title: Site Coordinator
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for day-to-day management of site
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of snack bar station
- Clean, sanitize and set tables
- Service and upkeep inventory of the snack bar station
- Prepare baked goods
- Assure compliance with health and sanitation requirements pertaining to food service
- Maintain records pertaining to services as required by the program
- Count and record cash receipts
- Prepare and submit reports, deposits and reservations to the Nutrition office
- Implement nutrition education and activities
- Recruit volunteers
- Supervise volunteers in the dining area
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of sitting are required, with occasional walking, standing, bending, or reaching.
- Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity is required for frequent use of a keyboard, calculator, and other standard office tools.
- Visual acuity is necessary for reading printed materials and computer screens.
- The position requires the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via electronic means.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of food preparation and health code regulations
- Ability to obtain and maintain Food Manager's Certification
- Ability to learn and maintain accurate program reports
- General computer skills to input data and complete forms and reports
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, honest, and an advocate of seniors
- Valid, Illinois driver's with the ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Requires ability to sit and stand frequently and regularly requires the strength to lift up to 25 lbs.
Supervision: Site Volunteers
Reports to: Kitchen Manager and Director of Nutrition
Hours: up to 25 hours/week: Monday – Friday, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Nutrition
