Job Summary:
Luther Park at Sandpoint is seeking a friendly, dependable, and compassionate Dining Service Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help provide an enjoyable dining experience for our residents by assisting with meal preparation, serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and delivering excellent customer service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and being part of a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation and food portioning as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
- Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment following sanitation guidelines.
- Stock supplies and assist with inventory organization.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
- Interact positively with residents, families, and team members.
- Assist with special events or catered functions as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have active Food handlers license
- Previous food service or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate attitude and willingness to serve seniors.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass background check and any required screenings.
