Job Purpose: Assist the Rural Outreach Coordinator in implementing the Rural Outreach Program in 5 sites in Guilford County.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in planning and implementing monthly rural outreach luncheons.
- Manage all aspects of Summerfield men’s coffee twice per month including purchasing food.
- Maintain accurate data regarding participation.
- Enter monthly data into ServTracker.
- Monitor and interface with caterer to ensure quality meals are provided for luncheons.
- Inventory all storage boxes and purchase items needed.
- Create activity packets each month (select appropriate puzzles, make copies).
- Research new activities.
- Routinely check and respond to emails, voicemails, and other contact.
- Maintain open communication with sites to ensure facility is available and ready for luncheons.
- Assist Rural Outreach Coordinator with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education
· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience
· Experience working with older adults preferred.
· Experience with the nonprofit field preferred.

Working Conditions:
· This job takes place in an office environment and assorted sites in Guilford County (churches, community centers).
· The position requires a 5-10 hour work week, with flexibility to accommodate the work load during the office hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
· The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Physical Requirements:
· Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, and printer, which require dexterity of fingers
· Sitting approximately 75 percent of time spent in the office.
· Frequent moving about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
· Light lifting—frequent lifting under 10 lbs., occasional lifting over 10 lbs. but under 25 pounds
· Occasional bending and stooping
Direct Reports:
This position does not supervise other staff.
