Job description:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Valid Driver’s license and good driving record.
· Knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
· Professional demeanor in appearance, interpersonal relations, work ethic, and attitude.
· Ability to effectively express thoughts, ideas, and concepts to visitors and co-workers.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding issues involving clients or the agency.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain vehicles in clean and safe operating condition.
· Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately to the Transportation Supervisor or the Executive Director.
· Pick up and deliver packaged meals to satellite sites and/or homebound clients.
· Use proper controls to maintain the appropriate temperatures for hot and cold foods.
· Use adequate sanitary practices in handling the food in transit.
· Deliver the collected monies daily to the designated personnel or front desk.
· Responsible for daily errands, including bank deposits, mail pickup, and Kroger donation pickups, in the absence of the Transportation Supervisor (rotation based)
· Other duties as assigned as may be related to the position.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
· Complete all training as required by funding sources.
· Must use all provided protective equipment to ensure the safe completion of tasks.
· May be required from time to time to work evenings or weekends to meet the agency's needs.
· Must be willing to carry out the vision and goals of Senior Monongalians, Inc.
SUPERVISION:
The Transportation Supervisor and the Executive Director supervise the Transportation Support Staff.
