In This Role, You Will
- Operate CNC mills, lathes, and associated equipment to produce precision parts.
- Read and apply blueprints, drawings, GD&T, and work instructions to guide machining steps.
- Choose tooling and fixtures; set feeds and speeds to hit accuracy and throughput goals.
- Execute first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Diagnose machining challenges; refine programs or machine settings as appropriate.
- Streamline processes to shorten cycle times and minimize scrap.
- Meet production schedules while upholding strict quality standards.
What You Need to Succeed
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of machining experience in manufacturing.
- Strong grasp of machining theory, tooling, materials, and tight tolerances.
- Comfortable reading prints and interpreting GD&T.
- Skilled with precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens or comparable controls preferred.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Dedication to safety practices and quality expectations.
Physical Demands & Work Setting
- Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Manual dexterity for safe operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Manufacturing environment with heat, machine noise, metal shavings, lubricants, and moving mechanical parts; PPE and safety procedures required.
