Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Supervises the Assisted Living & Memory Care program in accordance with community policies and procedures and applicable state regulations.Directs the interviewing, hiring, training and assignment of duties of licensed and non-licensed staff.Evaluates department staff work performance, by coaching in the moment and through company evaluation process.Directs continuing education in-service program for team members, ensuring community is following by state requirements. Evaluates resident requirements prior to and upon admission to determine level of assistance needed. Evaluates residents’ needs on an ongoing basis, as directed by company and state protocol. Engage in quarterly care conferences with families to review change in care needs and additional services the residents may need. Coordinates care program with resident’s physicians, consultants, and community’s departments to assure residents assistance needs are met. Periodically visits residents to ensure resident apartment is clean, resident’s care plan is followed, and resident is satisfied with care. Ordering of care supplies, including resident personal care products and ensure par levels are met.Supervises orientation of Resident Service Department staff.Reviews all accident and incident reports filed by nursing personnel and reports them to administrator within 24 hours of incident.Works closely with Executive Director regarding facility policies, personnel issues, resident issues, and community relationships.Additional Functions:Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change. Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families, and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Must be detail and team-work oriented.Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.Qualifications:Must be a current licensed RN or LPN in WA.Must be Drug free Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.Must be eighteen (18) years oldMaintain current CPR and First Aid CertificationA passion for helping seniors, especially those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Experience working with Dementia residents and supervising care staff. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English. Able to work all shifts to ensure staffing coverage when needed. Physical Demands and Requirements: Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach. Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
