Unlike traditional retail pharmacies, our pharmacists focus on clinical accuracy, operational excellence, and patient care without the distractions of walk-in customers.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join our daytime operations team. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys a collaborative environment and wants to focus on patient safety, prescription verification, and clinical support rather than retail sales. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring prescriptions are filled accurately, safely, and efficiently while supporting our pharmacy technicians and patient care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and clinical appropriateness.
• Review patient medication profiles for drug interactions, allergies, duplicate therapies, and contraindications.
• Counsel patients by phone when appropriate and answer medication-related questions.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve prescription clarification issues with prescribers and healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and quality assurance standards.
• Participate in workflow improvement initiatives and operational projects.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and enrollment specialists to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state of employment (additional state licenses are a plus).
• Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD or BS Pharmacy).
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management software and electronic prescription systems preferred.
• Previous mail-order, long-term care, specialty, or closed-door pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.
