We are seeking for a dependable, compassionate and experienced Cook to join our team. Our residents enjoy a family-like atmosphere where great meals are an important part of the day. If you take pride in preparing delicious, home-style meals while providing excellent customer service, we’d love to meet with you.
KEY RESPONSILITIES
· Prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals according to planned menus.
· Follow standardized recipes while maintaining consistent quality and portion control.
· Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
· Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary kitchen in accordance with local and state health regulations.
· Place food orders, receive and organize deliveries, and monitor inventory to reduce waste and maintain accurate stock levels.
· Maintain food temperature and complete required sanitation logs.
· Work cooperatively with the Community Director and other staff members to provide exceptional dining experience and within budgeted guidelines.
· Treat every resident with dignity, kindness and respect.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living or hospitality setting preferred.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, Food Manager Certified preferred.
· ServSafe Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one).
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Dependable attendance and positive attitude.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
· Must successfully pass a background check.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
