What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assisted Living Community Driver position at Senior Housing Management?
Ahava Senior Residences Assisted Living Facility is looking for a flexible, energetic and motivated driver to join our growing and passionate team! Sunday through Thursday 9am-5:30pm.
Your Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Provide safe, dependable, considerate and professional transportation service for our residents to appointments, errands and community activities
- Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift/stairs as needed; opens, closes and loads/unloads walkers and wheelchairs
- Ensure resident safety and happiness are priorities, and account for attendance of all residents to and from the community
- Keep the community vehicle clean and properly maintained, including fueled at all times
- Prepare the bus for operation and coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance
- Perform light office, answering incoming calls or in person inquiries to setup Resident's travel
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of related transportation experience preferred, including experience in an Assisted Living environment
- Valid state Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong customer service skills are a must!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
