Senior Home Solutions is a family-owned home accessibility company based in Fenton, Michigan. We help seniors and people with mobility challenges stay safely in their own homes installing wheelchair ramps, grab bars, stairlifts, and tub-to-shower conversions across Metro Detroit and Michigan. We're growing fast and looking for someone who is personable, willing to learn, and cares deeply for the customer base we serve on a day to day basis.
We're looking for a hands-on, reliable Installation Technician to join our field team. You'll install modular ramps, stairlifts, grab bars, and bathroom safety conversions at customers' homes — often for elderly or disabled clients, so a respectful, patient, customer-facing attitude matters just as much as the technical skill.
- Install modular aluminum ramps, threshold ramps, and step rails at customer homes
- Install and service stairlifts
- Install grab bars, handrails, and bathroom safety equipment
- Perform tub-to-shower conversions and related bathroom modifications
- Load/unload and transport equipment and materials to job sites
- Perform basic maintenance/service calls on previously installed equipment
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, many of whom are elderly
- Keep accurate job documentation and maintain a clean, safe worksite
- Experience in construction, carpentry, handyman work, or similar hands-on trade preferred
- Comfortable with basic power tools, ladders, and physical labor
- Ability to lift 60 lbs regularly and work in varied conditions (indoor/outdoor, all seasons)
- Ability to clearly communicate with sales team and customer about job progress
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently or as part of a two-person crew
- Respectful, patient demeanor — you'll be working in seniors' homes
- Basic plumbing/electrical familiarity a plus for bathroom conversion work (not required)
Full-time, Monday–Friday. Most days begin at 7am and end at 2:30pm. Daily travel to job sites across Metro Detroit and statewide Michigan — company vehicle/tools provided.
