We are currently seeking an experienced Weekend Live-In Caregiver for a client located in Rocky Hill, CT. The ideal candidate must have previous caregiving experience, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation, as driving the client to appointments and errands may be required.
Position Overview
As a Live-In Caregiver, you will provide personalized in-home care while creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for your client. This is an excellent opportunity for caregivers who are passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors through compassionate care.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, and social activities as needed
- Monitor and report changes in the client's physical or emotional condition
- Provide medication reminders
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and light housekeeping
- Support clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice care, or other specialized care needs
- Assist with transfers, ambulation, Hoyer lift (if applicable), and other mobility support
- Document client care accurately while maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, or long-term care required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (Required)
- Comfortable driving clients to appointments and errands
- Experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, or memory care is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification are a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
- Ability to work independently while providing exceptional client care
