Job Title: COMPANION
Objective: To provide care giving services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with household and family support services.
Reports To: Scheduling Coordinator
Primary Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Companionship & conversation
- Light Housekeeping
- Household management
- Errands
- Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
- Meal planning & preparation
- Laundry & linen changing
- Medication reminders
- Transportation using client’s or your own vehicle
- In sleep-over or live in situations: prepare client sleeping area at night
- Document activities in the Daily Documentation Log (if applicable).
- Record daily hours worked and daily services performed on the Weekly Time Sheet, review with client and submit the signed form every Monday by 1:00 p.m.
- Report any significant client changes to the office immediately.
- Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual.
- Education: High School graduate
- Must be 18 years of age or over
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level
- Ability to drive vehicle to get to work
- Valid driver’s license with no serious driving violations; current care insurance.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations and locations
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb steps
- Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions
- Ability to adapt to various environments and locations
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner.
Salary : $16 - $17
