Responsibilities

Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support to seniors.

Assistance with Daily Activities: Help with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.

Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and ensure they adhere to prescribed medication schedules.

Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.

Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for the senior.

Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential outings.

Monitoring Health: Observe and report any changes in the senior's health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition.

Qualifications

• Caring and Compassionate—you enjoy helping others
• MUST have a valid CNA license or PCA/HHA certification
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (no photocopies accepted)
• MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN HOMES OF THOSE WITH PETS
• Pass a background check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in caregiving, preferably with seniors.
• Training and professional development opportunities.
• A supportive and caring work environment.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening. Testing includes, but is not limited to, amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, opiates (including morphine), and benzodiazepines.
