Key Responsibilities:
- Manage billing and billing processes
- Maintain customer maintenance data in the system
- Perform invoicing, set up ACH, payment processing, posting, reconciling, and collections.
- Investigate and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies or disputes
- Communicate with Franchisees on outstanding AR issues
- Provide reporting as needed including gross sales reporting, review aging reports
- Record and maintain accurate entries in the general ledger for revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide financial data and analysis to assist in decision-making.
- Assist with tax preparation, including the calculation and filing of sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax returns.
- Provide support during financial audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Assist in implementing audit recommendations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare variance analysis reports to explain budget-to-actual differences.
- Maintain organized and secure records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide financial support as needed.
- Communicate financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
- Possess either a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or demonstrate 2-4 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP or IFRS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
