We are seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers who are passionate about serving older adults and creating positive experiences for the people they care for.

Responsibilities as a Senior Helpers Caregiver:

• Build meaningful relationships through conversation, companionship, and shared experiences.
• Participate in your client's favorite activities such as gardening, listening and singing to music, puzzles, card games, crafts, reading, or taking a walk.
• Prepare meals and snacks that support your client's health and well-being.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, oral hygiene, transferring & positioning, incontinence care, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, social activities, or community events.
• Organize incoming mail.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and creating a safe home environment.
• Provide medication reminders and support clients with their daily routines.
• Offer compassionate Alzheimer's and dementia care when needed.
• Keep families and the office informed by documenting care provided and reporting changes in a client's condition.
• Any other task as delegated by family or staffing.

Qualifications:

• Ability to treat clients with dignity, respect, compassion, patience, and exceptional care. 
• Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level
• Valid driver’s license with no serious driving violations and current auto insurance. 
• Ability to successfully complete Companion Care and/or Personal Care Services training and skill assessment test.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid social security number
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
• Must have flexibility with schedule and be able to work various shifts and days
• High School diploma or GED.
• Legal Identification and proof of authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to use clock in/out & care documentation system used by agency successfully through caregiver mobile app using a working SMART phone.

Preferred:

• At least one-year professional caregiving experience, not required. 
• Ability to transport client in a vehicle safely.
