- Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
- Escort clients to appointments and errands
- Assist with mobility and ensure home safety
- Follow individualized care plans and document care provided
- Observe, report, and communicate changes in client condition
- Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required
- Professional or family caregiving experience accepted
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Reliable transportation is required
- Valid driver’s license required if transporting clients
- Must be willing and able to travel to: Huntley, Algonquin, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, and surrounding areas
- Must pass background screening
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (W-2 employees only)
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality care
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Experience with Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- CNA or HHA certification
- Experience with mobility assistance
- Experience providing in-home services to seniors or completion/enrollment in a CNA or nursing program
- Ability to work independently
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Reliable transportation between client homes
