Part-Time Overnight Caregiver / PCA / HHA / CNA
Location: Sterling MA
Schedule:
- Overnight Shifts: Fridays & Saturdays, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Additional daytime fill-in shifts available as needed
- Part-time position
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced caregiver to provide one-on-one care for a bed-bound client in her home. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for clients with limited mobility and be comfortable assisting with personal care, repositioning, and daily household tasks.
Overnight Responsibilities (10 PM – 6 AM):
- Reposition client in bed every 2 hours to maintain comfort and prevent skin breakdown
- Assist with brief changes and personal hygiene care when needed
- Provide leg massages/rubbing to help promote circulation
- Monitor client's comfort and safety throughout the night
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including dishes and maintaining a clean environment
- Complete laundry as needed
Day Shift Responsibilities (As Needed):
- Provide bed baths and personal care
- Assist with brief changes and incontinence care
- Prepare and serve meals as directed
- Complete laundry and household tasks
- Ensure the supply closet is fully stocked, organized, and maintained
- Monitor client's comfort, safety, and overall well-being
Client Information:
- Bed-bound and paralyzed from the waist down
- Feeding tube for nutrition
- Uses a hospital bed and incontinence supplies (Depends)
- Requires repositioning every 2 hours
- Requires assistance with circulation support and personal care
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience required
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or equivalent experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills
