When a regular caregiver is unavailable, a new client needs immediate support, or a schedule changes at the last minute, you're the trusted professional who steps in and delivers the same safe, dependable care our clients count on every day.

We are seeking a flexible, experienced caregiver who is comfortable covering all levels of care—from companionship to full transfer and full assist—for clients throughout Fort Collins and every region of our service area.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Helpers Floater Caregiver, you’ll bring consistency and confidence to every assignment, no matter where it is or who it’s with. On a typical day, you will:

Cover every level with confidence

Step in and provide high-quality care at any level—from companionship and light housekeeping to full transfer and full assist—often on short notice.

Quickly review each client’s care plan and adapt your approach to their individual needs, preferences, and routines.

Stay flexible and travel where you’re needed

Travel to all regions within our service area, adjusting your schedule and location as client needs change.

Serve as the dependable backup when a scheduled caregiver is unavailable, so clients never go without care.

Build trust fast, with every client

Comfortably and professionally provide care for both male and female clients, adapting your communication style to build rapport quickly.

Represent Senior Helpers’ values and standard of care consistently, even when stepping into an unfamiliar home or routine.

Maintain accurate documentation

Use the electronic caregiver mobile app to clock in/out, record completed tasks, and update client notes in a timely and detailed manner.

Contribute to a positive team environment

Communicate clearly with families, supervisors, and team members to ensure continuity of care.

Respond to schedule updates and last-minute changes with professionalism and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to demonstrate these behaviors consistently:

Observe, document, and report changes in physical or mental condition to supervisors immediately.

Provide companionship and protective oversight.

Transport clients safely by vehicle.

  • Adjust quickly between client homes, routines, and care levels while maintaining a consistent standard of care.

Companionship & Household Support

  • Engage clients in conversation and recreation.
  • Prepare light meals, perform light housekeeping, manage laundry, assist with shopping and errands, and provide incidental transportation.
